Local zoo got crafty with inflation pricing. Raised the base access price by 50% while removing access to some of the rides. Then doubled the price just so you can have access to the same rides you used to. So now passes are 100% more. Can't make this up. No inflation though! No one getting robbed. Nothing to see.
Zoos are a shitcoin. One day my kids will realize this, but at that point it'll be too late because their own kids will beg to go there.
Why would a zoo have rides? Like rollercoasters and stuff? I’d think that would be too loud for the animals.

They buy those carrots buy the tractor load, write them off as an expense, then they sell them to visitors from cash only vending machines and don't declare that income.
The longer I think about this the more I want to start a zoo myself with only goats and carrots. Oh and you can let your kids play in the carrot farming simulator, farming carrots for hours. You then can feed some of them to the goats. Good fun!

beyond prices, after the lockdown, as nobody liked being caged, i think animals should def not be caged. Rehabilation places and humans visiting animals in nature is great but zoos are just cruel
