Diogenes was literally making a commentary on the Plato's definition of man. This is a fundamental conversation in philosophy which is again, the study of knowledge, reality, and existence.

It sounds like you don't like philosophy and also don't like the definition of philosophy. I find it very attached to my day to day life because I love studying philosophy and regularly am contemplating it. I don't need or want it detached from everyday life and it's weird you suggest that, most of my content is philosophy related.

Maybe it's not in your everyday life because you're not into it. That's fine, but it's weird to try and change the definition of it so you can claim you are. Idk probably some interesting psychology that might explain that 🤷‍♀️

I never said I disliked philosophy. I just don't like definitions and practice styles that restrict the practice to people near the top of Maslow's hierarchy.

Why should we define philosophy as something for the already successful in other ways? You narrow the possible range of philosophical ideas presented by excluding those people. Does excluding certain peoples ideas improve philosophy or hurt it?

I'm not even sure what we're talking about anymore. I shared that I like watching philosophy videos in the morning, you like watching TikTok content. It's just preferences, both are fine but they are different things. Good luck dude 👍

I've never used tiktok. I said I like Self Help Singh. Did you know he has a book?

I'm just asking a bunch of questions. They put Socrates to death so I guess this is a pretty kind response all things considered.

Mostly I want to understand why so many people have an ivory tower view of philosophy. There is a mold they expect it to fit into. If Diogenes can run around with a plucked chicken for sarcastic shock effect and be included, then Singh's swearing shouldn't exclude him. So what is it?
