when I was in middle school we moved to a rural area and left all my friends behind. I would go to the library after school and read there and/or checkout books to take home. I read a lot of random fantasy/fiction and most of Orwell's books. I think reading 1984, Animal Farm, etc at a pretty young age gave me a certain perspective that I've never lost.
Around Grade 3. Discovered Jules Verne in school Library.
Late Elementry school early middle. 😅 and a huge role. Reading was pleasure, escape, and life lessons learned.
