are you using any other client on your network 0xtr? amethyst has been known to use up rate limiting tokens via drafts.
nope, only been using Nostrudel on the desktop and Damus on the phone. Don't answer if you don't want to make it public but what is the rate limit configured to on your relay?

Is it just notes or does it count REQs as well on the rate limit?
Its only by connection. Are you using a vpn?

I think it should just be a warning or error icon in the relay section, with a log of failed writes and the reason

Replies in threads are hidden in the notifications since it gets really noisy.
There is a "Threads" view here https://nostrudel.ninja/#/notifications/threads but its not very good UI
I should probably update it to show non-direct replies in threads but group them like facebook does "3 people have replied to a thread your in"
