Ok but why in the fuck were the NORTHERN lights in the SOUTH and why were they RED?!!!

Been seeing northern lights here for 35 years and they’ve never been red.

Has anyone heard a decent answer to this?

Red is rarest. It's something to do with high altitude oxygen particles getting excited by higher frequencies. Green is lower altitude more dense oxygen.
