I'm interested in proliferation, flourishing and broad abundance rather than retrenchment of a few. so I take it as a personal responsibility to endure the rough edges so that they might smooth out.
I don't expect others to do the same. but if nobody did it, it's straight to clown world.
Would you consider the options I am using as supporting the entrenchment of the few?
Also, fountain has been around long enough that it should be able to smoothly play podcasts on demand.

I agree it's a tough balance to walk: supporting novel and maybe under-resourced projects without rewarding mediocre products. but to me, the potential for a zap-based and nostr-based future is worth roughing it on the frontier where subpar might be the best you can expect for while until situations improve. for me, backpedling to the old world is not the move I want to make if I want to help develop the frontier.
I don't begrudge you for it, it's a cost/benefit decision each person needs to make for themselves. Just remember to come back when the situation improves
