Hello from Japan, all I can give you is my opinion.

In the countryside this has little affect, the bigger issue is population decline. My town's population has halved since 2026. Most of the food we eat is grown locally, and protein (fish and chicken) is super cheap, but if you were to go to Costco in Kobe prices would be much more expensive.

Cars have also dramatically increased in price, as America has started to import all the small yellow plate vehicles like k-trucks. This is why I switched to riding a motorcycle, it's much cheaper.

If I was a multimillionaire, my stance would be different and these would be huge waves in the market, but unfortunately I all not.
