I want to be able to receive lightning payments through a QR code while we are live on simply bitcoin.

Would throwing an LN @ address QR on screen not work?
Not as convenient as a QR code on a video. I guess it’s only good if folks are watching YT from their PC.

or the simplest way: add a LN address in your YT channel about and/or in each video description, like ⚡️nicojones@getalby.com (must contain the ⚡️). With that, any viewer using Alby browser extension with just one click can send you sats, straight from the video. You can use any other LN address if you host the server yourself.
stream it live through Podverse, you can boost the show live.
I like LNbits and there's already been good suggestions for those tools. While custodial, super easy would be WoS.
I have seen and zapped folks who post pic of WoS QR of bartenders/waitstaff they are orange pilling.
