All smartphone manufacturers are controlled by the US. Nokia is dead (as a smartphone manufacturer), Samsung and Huawei are dependent on the US. European production is being moved to the US. EU can only turn up their noses as far as they are allowed to.

You are arguing against a point I didn't make, have a good day mate 👋

i used to own a blackview phone, 100% chinese brand... yeah i mustn't forget i've got a chinese "senior" phone coming in the post soon, as i'm deprecating my mobile to banking only duty, it's chinese make, there is that wapoo brand and a bunch of other chinese cell phone/smart phone manufacturers that have a substantial position in many countries, you especially see them in southern/eastern europe a lot

like in bulgaria, for example, there is big business in direct importing of products from china, mostly tech but a lot of more utility household things, here in portugal there is a brand "mitsai" which does a bunch of budget gear, like i had a HD monitor they made, was very cheap, and a motor-driven standing desk

they aren't dominant, in the west, but they are very visible everywhere on the margins and i imagine many of these brands are all over the place in south america and africa and asia

All Chinese and Indian smartphones are powered by Snapdragon and MediaTek platforms. It doesn't matter what they're called, they're software and hardware by fact an American product.

i'm pretty sure that the chinese are gonna recognise the problem there
