I remember him dying in prison. Then I was surprised to see the news he died again. Later, much later, I found out about the Mandela effect.
That's an interesting one. I grew up there and he was very much alive in the 90's and 2000's. Maybe somewhere along the way timelines got switched up. 😅

I recall Mandela explaining to one guard how he realized his extremist years were a mistake or something to that effect.
