Unpopular opinion: It's better to have your principles well defined (even socialist ones) than to be a centrist who grabs onto anything just because he believes it works

In real life I don't personally know a single centrist that hasn't had to fight for their values at some stage, but I know hundreds of lefties, even hardcore socialists, that flip flop with their alleged values. Lefties are just sheep without any principles.

A centrist has no clear principles, easily corruptible people is another issue

Centrist in what sense?

Sometimes the more libertarian you lean the more centrist you become.

A focus on individual rights and minimal government means less alignment with traditional left or right ideologies.

I agree, but I think it takes us out of that obsolete left-right political spectrum

So would you still say a centrist has no principles?

Or just that their principle's are confusing to people who are stuck viewing the world through an increasingly obsolete left-right continuum?

Yes, even in a more complex political spectrum
