If you aren't running your own node, you really should consider it. This is the only way to confirm that you own your bitcoin. Relying on a 3rd party node to verify this data is not 100% reliable.

I will disagree because if you own the private keys it's your bitcoin, but yes if you can run a node you should to verify your own transactions period.

Without running a node, you cannot confirm it and you are trusting someone else to provide you the info.
