Has anyone used the #[0] servers to store their own content?

I’m looking for a solution to store a shit ton of videos and photos that I don’t really want on the cloud.

Any help would be appreciated!

Start9 is a good option. You can install Nextcloud to build your own file storage. You don’t need Start9’s hardware, you can run it on almost any modern PC or laptop.

Another great option is Plex. You run it on a computer that’s always on. It is built specifically for videos and photos.

I also just did an episode about all this. It’s part 1, so it doesn’t go into specific server OS comparisons. That’s coming.

NextCloud is perfect for this. Then you can install Jellyfin to stream all that content to yourself. Just like plex but better designed IMO
