GM,Nostr!

Twitter is already down in Brazil. I’ve never thought in my whole life that a social media like X would be suspended in my country. I don’t think that the government should have a say in communication, journalism or the internet itself. The internet belongs to the people. It shouldn’t be controlled by a centralized entity.

Also, it doesn’t make any sense. After all, prisoners have cellphones and internet inside the jail. From there, they organize crime and fraud. Why not suspend their internet usage? And take away their mobiles?

If Brazilian politicians were really concerned about fighting crime, they could start from controlling criminals that take advantage of having a WiFi connection to commit those crimes.

Everything that is happening in my country is a result of power abuse.

However,it makes me happy that I found Nostr and that I built a community of friends here. I love all of you. πŸ’œπŸ˜ž You make my life happier even though I’m living in a chaotic situation now.

Have a froggy fun day.

As a northerner I always wondered why our media would give us news from across the pond but nothing from the chunk of land connected below us.

It was at that moment I realized our "world" news was bullshit.

stay strong

It’s disheartening to see censorship taking hold, especially when real issues like crime and corruption remain unaddressed.

Yes!!!

This just shows you how selfish politicians and businessmen can be. Constantly putting their own self-interests before the more important issues that a nation faces. This may sound contradictory but I do see some good emerging from this situation. Twitter IS heavily inhibitive toward its users when it comes to posting content – at least that's what my sister tells me. An event like this should drive more people away from centralized platforms. Just sayin'.

GM, btw😁🌀!

More power to Nostr πŸ’œ

Good courage friend, everything is temporary. The restrictions only seek to instill fear in accounts with large audiences in X, for the common user it is a trivial block that if it actually happens they will be able to overcome with other services and continue to use their favorite social network.
