What are you currently reading?

It is called L'Homme foudroyΓ© by Blaise Cendrars

I will have to look that up... I'm in the middle of 3 different books at the moment πŸ€£πŸ˜‚

Wow. I sometimes do 1 audio and 1 book but 3 at the same time? Wild!

It's because I have a tendency to get bored in the middle and need to switch it up. Surprisingly my brain keeps exactly where I left off no problem.

I have one on my phone to read while working. One nonfiction in hard copy, and one fiction hard copy. At night I switch between the hard copies depending on my mood.

Makes sense. I have a tendency to finish a book once I start. I rarely put one down for any reason other than I have other things to do.

Non fiction gets boring for me, and it's been hard to find good new fiction. I usually end up rereading some of my favorites.

What are some fiction that you've reread because I also do a lot of rereading.

My go to is Max Brooks' World War Z for some reason. I must have reread that twice last year alone.

Currently I'm rereading the dark tower series, literally started book 1 two days ago. I'll read Ready Player One, Dragon Bones/Dragon Blood, The Magic of Recluce, Ender's Game series, The Dresden Files series, Elantris, The Dark Prism series, The Warded Man series... So many πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

nostr:npub1nnn379gxen6tn8erft6fh43q905g82q0jks4t3hf58pkl4l8srrsyjkzrt sometimes I'll go through a classics kick too. The Time Machine, Dracula, Crime and Punishment, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Call of the Wild, Journey to the Center of the Earth

I do the classic ones as well. I have this gorgeous but still small collection of Chiltern Classic books that I love reading oldies from. πŸ˜„

Nevermind that the book itself is beautifully bound but they're classics so they're a bit hard to resist.

Ugh that sounds amazing! I have a bunch of the leather bound fancy ones for the classics. It's 100% necessary on my bookshelf πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜‚

I think maybe only the book nerds will understand this. πŸ˜„πŸ«‘

Totally! Besides world war Z what are your go tos?

Albert Camus' L'Γ‰tranger and La Chute. The depressing Notes from Underground by Dostoevsky. There's one more recent book that I reread called The Other Side of Night by Adam Hamdy.

I will add those to the list too! 😊

Can I jump in here and recommend Dark Matter and Recursion by Blake Crouch? Absolute page turners.

I'll add it to the list!

I've read these. Very good. I think Dark Matter is a TV series now.

It is. Haven’t seen it though. Afraid it will ruin the theatre of my imagination ;)
