Linux Mint 22.3 is pretty sweet.

New machine? If so, congrats! Frameworks are the best

Yes new machine indeed, thx

Nice! let me know what you think about it's battery life!

I've been eying linux laptops for a while, even had one. But battery life is generally awful on them...

They should make an extra battery pack which you can mount on the back (just like you can mount a GPU component on this device)

Yeah I learned that Thinkpads used to have hot-swappable batteries. Would be a great thing now, especially if combined with efficient ARM chips.

There are some default settings to change. Not sure for Fedora, but on Ubuntu I had to tweak CPU and sleep settings.

What’s your average time usage before your battery is empty?

depends on the workload of course, but easily a full workday.

Funny thing, I have a Pinephone Pro with an ARM chip (if I'm right( which battery is empty after 3 hours of doing nothing with PostmarketOS installed ;)

Honestly I don't know. I limited my battery to 80% max charge, and just changed the idle setting when the laptop is closed

I also adjusted that setting in the bios to a 80% max charge πŸ˜„ what idle setting do you have on Ubuntu to decrease battery usage?

Very nice sir πŸ”₯
