A Brazilian Supreme Court judge ruled today (August 30) to suspend the social media platform X in Brazil.

Here are some interesting details:

The judge also notified the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) to shut down the social network across the entire country within 24 hours at the latest;

Companies like Apple and Google have 5 days to remove the X app from their online stores;

The minister imposed a daily fine of R$50,000 on anyone or any company using any workaround (like VPNs) to access X, even with the site being banned in the country;
