Les claypool is a beast.
In fact, if you were to make like your perfect band. Where you could pull anyone from anywhere right?
I'd want Les Claypool on bass, I would need Maynerd Keenan's mind maybe he's the lyricist, Ludwig Göransson for some modernization bringing in some trap style beats or native American flute or like Jamaican steel drums or a fucking digereedoo or something, heavy fast guitar is needed something a la SOAD or like Avenged Sevenfold, then it's me right? So like of course I want it to be led by a stinkin hot tattooed pierced up punk rock undercut crazy color hair chick who's a mix of sweet velvety breathy Scarlett Johansson mixed with the I smoke a pack a day since I was 7 rasp from all the yelling she'll do🤷🏽 so of course I'll nominate Brody Dalle formerly of the Distillers and Spinnerette but now a solo act unless she's back with the Distillers again🤷🏽🖤🤍🖤🤍
Nice. That's a sick supergroup.
There is a trio, I think it's called Oysterhead, with Claypool, Stewart Copeland from the Police on the Drums and Buckethead on guitar. Very different from the group you put together but it's a very interesting mix.
I always love these kinds of mashups the best of the best.
Have you heard that song... Oh what the fuck is it called... But it has Steve Aoki kid Cudi and Travis Barker???
Wow, I had not heard that before
What about velvet remover revolver?
Yep, I dig velvet revolver. Audioslave is also kind of a supergroup. One if my favorites.
How so? It's it made up of super people?
Chris Cornell + the instrumentalists from Rage Against the Machine
Oh what?!?! I know those names
The first album is glorious. I didn't really keep track after that.
Teach me🤷🏽 did you see my other post? I'm high and looking for music
Their first album is called Audioslave, released in 2002. It's a must-listen.
Favorite tracks: 1,2,3,6,7,9,10,11,12 (Yes I know it's more than half the album. The whole damn album is pure gold.)
I think there is a unifying theme to all the lyrics on the album: Cornell is struggling with faith in God. Is God Good? Is God real? Why doesn't he reveal himself? What about the problem of evil?
I think "I am the Highway" is sort of a Daoist, Book of Job-ish, apophatic resolution to his questions.
Honestly the only thing I need to add to this is something Halloweeny then it's perfect.
Maybe their name is Halloweeny. Like... Formaldehyde or.... The Witch's Familiar or....
How about
"Coroners Undertakers and Morticians". Which is dreadfully too long so they'll shorten it to CUM for radio and TV and each album name will be jokes on random hilarious phrases about places to cum. Like the first one will be called In Your Wallet. Imagine old school TRL like "next up we have CUM in your wallet"
2nd album On Your M̶o̶m̶ Face
😂
