👀💜 Just tried it with an image and it made the text really tiny 😅 Have you used the imgflip site for making memes? It’s a good example of what features would be useful for still memes especially, such as the ability to place text where you want it, add additional text fields, and change font color/size.

Yeah, I noticed it doesn’t scale with the resolution of the image, I’ll fix that

Someone else mentioned imgflip so I’ll look at that, but there’s two things I’m struggling with:

1. Don’t want to clone something that already exists (because I’m not adding any value)

2. Trying to limit the clicks, taps and complexity as adding more buttons might discourage amateur memers

With that said, I might consider an “advanced” drop down with some of those options

Is there anything you don’t you like about imgflip?

May need to bring you on as a Chief Meme Officer 😂

Probably the only things I don’t like about imglfip is they want you to pay for a pro subscription ($10/month) to remove their watermark 🤣 and of course it has no connection to nostr. As far as features, though, it’s pretty damn good. That said, I mostly use dedicated editing apps on my phone and computer so I can do better layering, editing. But for a quick and easy meme or gif, imgflip is great.
