I'm watching these three new Android clients. All of them have two things in common:

1) they are in early developmental stages

2) they all take design very seriously

Plebstr - It's in early development, but available now on Google Play beta. It's usable in the current form, but missing features. It has absolutely the most beautiful transitions and animations out of any client that I've seen thus far.

Current - It's in early development. It's available on Google Play beta (and Apple App Store). It has the best onboarding experience out of any Nostr client. They made very precise design and naming decisions to make the experience familiar and inviting. It still needs a lot of work, but improving fast.

Plasma - In very early development. It's available on GitHub if you compile the APK yourself. It's not usable in it's current form. The alpha will be available on March 6th. The UI is very clean and very simple.

Do you have screenshots of plasma?

Is Plasma working good?

It still needs a few features and is pretty basic. I wouldn't use it as a daily driver yet, but they have all of the building blocks of a beautiful app 🔥

Didnt realise plebstr is tweetoshi new nostr client. Checking it out now! Havent used tweetoshi since nostr came about, bet there users dropped right off

I’d like to see Plebster on iOS as I think their Tweetoshi app was good. They have lightning build into a Twitter product already so it they have to be integrating ⚡️into Nostr!

they have ios version

You can download iOS version on Testflight 🔥

Check out plebstr.com 🤙

Which android client would you say is best in its current state? I mean out of all the clients that are available?

Amethyst.

Amethyst by far imo

Thanks for the information!

#[1] seriously dude these are pretty nice. I definitely appreciate the heads up!

Thank you! I'll check them out😊

Curti esse Plebstr, vou testar o Current logo mais.

Thanks man. On a separate note is there a way to secure a private key access multiple apps?

We need clients and more development around NIP-26. That would allow us to delegate keys for specific uses and expirations.

Delegation support is at very early stage; you may check/comment status here:

I think I like plebstr the most. Can't wait till they get zaps

I hear current is going to/already has a built-in custodial wallet, to give more seamless zaps rather than opening up another app. On Stacker News, this works really well.

Having a Lightning wallet built in is the most unique feature. It's a game changer, IMO.

What do you think of the idea of being able to purchase btc from a client?

Having an app that does everything can beneficial. Maybe if it was something peer to peer similar to robosats?

The iOS client now only has Damus. The review of Apple App Store is too time-consuming, resulting in slow iteration of Damus

You could look at Nostros, things are moving fast there.

Current promised an APK on Github but haven't seen that yet, also their privacy policy might have been copied from Facebook.

I've been watching and playing with Nostros for two months 🤙 It's nice and feature rich! This post was about new apps though.

🤯🤯

It's kind of shocking 😂

I love how bear markets really seem to accelerate the building of apps amongst the Bitcoin community 💪💪

🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿 Thanks for this information

Just dled plebstr.

I thought nostr was average at best until using plebstr.

Game changer. Thanks

You're welcome. Plebstr is fantastic from a UI perspective. Some things are a bit slow for me or don't work very well, but I'm hopeful.
