I believe there is already a nip for that. I don't like that restriction though. Copying old events to new keys is a feature. If you are worried about authenticity then check the nip05 or web of trust.
Yep, important to assume there will be nefarious relays and clients.

Clients should probably request data and validate the data before presenting... I bet they just show whatever they get back.
If there is a market for such a client then it will exist.
