Its just a little sad that you dont find a lot of people

who can argue bot sides of the

flat earth vs. spinning ball earth.

I am still 50 / 50 at best.

Nobody was able to explain me for example

why a gyroscope keeps the same vector in space while spinning!

This means the earth is NOT rotating,

because on a spinning ball earth, it would have to rotate its spin vector!

Most people just dismiss this debate,

although they mostly know nothing about it!

But if you know nothing, you should be open to learn!

I guess the lie is to big.

It’s only Monday 😭

What do you mean?

Dont start off the week with flat erf stuff.

Flat earth is a gateway drug to begin accepting other centrally-managed conspiracy theories designed to keep your mind in chains and make you belligerent against actual free thinkers.

The gyroscope argument works the opposite way.

A gyroscope maintains its orientation in inertial space (relative to the distant stars), not relative to Earth's surface. This is exactly what we'd expect on a rotating Earth.

If you set up a gyroscope at the North Pole, over 24 hours you'd see the Earth rotate beneath it while the gyroscope's axis stays pointed at the same stars. This is essentially what a Foucault pendulum demonstrates.

The gyroscope doesn't follow Earth's rotation, which is precisely the evidence that Earth is rotating.

This is as solid as physics gets. It's not theoretical; it's observable, measurable, and used in technology every single day.

thanks for your answer

but you got the gyro wrong

a gyro pointing to the center of the earth

(except on the north pole)

will keep the same vector in space

this means after 90 degree rotation of the earth

the gyros vector would not point to the center anymore

the vector would be parallel to the earth

on a graphic you would see it better

whats with airplanes flying level?

if they fly 90 degrees around the earth

the gyro would show that

but its not

It seems you're confusing free gyroscopes with aircraft artificial horizons. Aircraft gyroscopes have built-in correction mechanisms specifically designed to adjust to local vertical as the plane moves around a curved Earth.

They're engineered that way because Earth is round.

I encourage you to research the differences between the two.

You mentioned people don't engage with this topic, so I took the time to answer your specific question about gyroscopes.

I could go into more detail, but to be honest, I'm not willing to spend more time on this because I think the flat earth theory contradicts well-established physics and observable evidence.

That's not a judgment on you personally. I respect that you're asking questions. I just don't see a productive debate here when the science is this clear.

All the best.

I also think you got it wrong.

Maybe we can agree on one thing!?

A gyro spins with the same vector in space !?

And keeps this vector while spinning!

Would you agree with that?

its not clear for you, it seems to me

end you just shut down the conversation

this is not science

and by the way

i dont need your permission

for free speech

You need my permission for this. I grant you free speech.

Earth is a sphere, almost. But you seem to have a flat learning curve.

Your head seems to spin.

Thats why you are confused.

But i hope you can once relaxe on a flat nonrotating earth!

I just granted you free speech a day this is how you react. I hope you fall of the edge.

There is no edge, there is a ice wall.

So i would have to climb!

Your head is still spinning.

My head is definitely spinning, it's on a globe rotating and in orbit around the sun.

Lets say you climbed the ice wall, will you reach the edge or do you believe in the flat earth extension, the extended worlds.

I have a few questions since your a flat earth believer:

1. Explain gravity on this flat earth?

2. Are we in a petri dish?

3. What happens if you keep going?

4. Why can't I see the empire state building from where I am, if we're flat, I have a telescope.

This should be helpful. Unless the Chinese are on in this.

Get well soon 😊 πŸ™

this is just CGI - computer generated image

you can compare all the nasa pics of the earth

they dont fit

believing in a story and a pic is not science

nobody of us can reproduce this pic

but science is about repeatable experiments

if you have a hard time because of all the different governments

just remember the antarctic treaty from 1958

all the countries agree about hiding antarctica

4. you got an atmosphere so in the distance it gets thick like a wall.

but there are a lot of impossible pictures with high zoom cameras,

so if you calculate the curve of the earth you shouldnt be able to see it on a ball earth

3. nobody knows exactly whats behind the ice wall

maybe there is a path to somewhere else but how i should know that

there is an antarctic treaty in place since 1958

i think in the fifties the governments found out that we are in an enclosed system and decided to hide it

2. dont know about petri dish but maybe you could describe it that way

1. the gravity part also took me a long time

and i am still learning

but i think density explains it well enough

and maybe some electrostatics

think about a balloon filled with air inside a water tank

the balloon would go up

its the same way around for denser objects in the air

going down

you forgot that your solar system is also traveling through space

maybe i should get some pictures

and videos ready for better presentation

did you watch "mylunchbreak" ?

maybe this place can be reset,

not sure how this would look like

its just all very interesting to me

I think you got that gyroscope think wrong.

🫒

I can feel myself getting dumber just reading things like this πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

πŸ˜‚πŸ™πŸΌ

Well if you are at best 50/50

Try other experiments like be a sniper and check for Coriolis effect.

thats a very good experiment too

the Foucault pendulum would like to have a word

if you know a way of keeping the pendulum swing without changing the direction then yes

with a faucault pendulum setup can get more wrong

then with a gyro

but i like to focus on the gyroscope first
