Interesting, I'm surprised you don't have at least little deer, these hooven animals seem to be everywhere! Enjoy the range though, that's a blast.

Being the naturally inquisitive type , I did a quick search John. This makes sense to me , as the locals eat almost anything that moves here.
"For over 20 years, no one has seen the Philippine sambar or Marinduque brown deer roaming the forests of Marinduque. The species was driven to local extinction because of hunting and habitat loss."
I knew it! Too bad they're all gone though that's sad. One of the few types of regulation, such as it is, that I get behind is the kind of state-based regulation we have in the US over hunting. Some of it is bad, dont get me wrong, but having certain hunting regulations here has been a miracle for certain species and quite bad for other admittedly.
Totally 💯. I am not from the US, but have friends from there and I understand there are hunting seasons and ' bag limits' if that's the term for it.
Ya, and the money collected for licenses goes primarily to conservation efforts which is good. Each state tends to manage itself which is the best in my opinion.
The second is a precious thing. You guys need to hang on to that right with all your might. History does not favor those who have had it taken away. Peace & love 🧡
