I heard about NOSTR from the plebs.

What made me stay was how you and Will carried yourselves in Oslo amongst the Apple battle.

I want to see you all win.

I joined after hearing about it on Reddit. What keeps me here is the sense of community, the freedom, and the genuine and useful information being shared.

My first day exploring was the first time I have felt that same sense of wonder I did when first logging onto the internet and discovering new, weird websites. Everything was fresh, fascinating, and exciting. That’s something I haven’t felt in decades and it’s fantastic.

Up until now much of the online experience has been homogenized drudgery where you may see an article, image, conversation that gives the occasional fleeting boost. But here, I’m finding those things in abundance and actually want to engage rather than give a half-hearted, passing like.

Is this a honeymoon phase destined to wane? Maybe? But I haven’t even encountered one since the early days of FB when you needed a valid college email address to access it.

Whatever the case, I’m grateful for the experience and the community here. And I’m especially grateful for everyone involved in its creation, growth, and protection.

I saw npubs on Twitter profiles, having no clue what they were. Pulling that thread led me here. I've hung out in the same way that I might find myself in the secluded spot at a shitty party, where the jaded have found one another and are making their own fun.

I heard about nostr in telegram last fall when they squeezed our internet even harder, as a way of fighting internet blockage.

Staid for the positive vibe, zaps, and the fact that no one can kicks me out!

I heard about it from some friends on Twitter but signed up and took the plunge in Prague BTC. I am digging it, though still a bit shy w posting takes like I do on Twitter (complaints re govt, dating, normal annoying or uplifting stuff). I also wish posting video would be easier natively, though that may be something I need to stay on top of, as that may be a feature already added or in the works. Relays remain hard to understand. If I knew of a central hub of up to date info, not for techies but for normies, that would also help. Trying to find people by name would be cool too, but again, maybe I just don’t know what I’m doing. Everyone is incredibly helpful and I love bringing people into this world (been promoting Nostr to a lot of Liberty friends vs crypto friends who already know about it).
