It wants to make it plainly obvious how much data we are leaking while using "private" messages.

Although the messages we send are encrypted, the details about who we are talking to, how often and at what times are public. Not everyone is aware of this.

It is well known to anyone who has been on Nostr for some time. The better clients use a better protocol called "gift wrapped" messaging, but not all clients use this and some don't use this as standard but really they should. We should promote privacy as standard.

What will fix this? People taking the time tp learn about private messaging, choosing a client that supports better privacy so that they aren't being called out by the bot, or calling out the client and asking for better private messaging tech to be developed (along with a nice couragable zap).

I have no doubt that within a year, most clients will be using a much more private dm algorithm.
