Okay so just don't answer my question then... II believe you think the issue is core pushed through a contentious change. It's my opinion this is not a contentious change because of the former issue I'm trying to get an answer from you for. Detractors only say it's contentious because they think filters solve a spam issue. They don't. So no contention...
You assert that, "Saying spam can't get in the blockchain because you filter your mempool is an equally retarded argument." To my knowledge, no one is arguing that spam "can't get in the blockchain," so pretending people are arguing that is either wrong or disingenuously. The argument they are making is that filters reduce spam, or perhaps reduce it significantly, but stop it completely isn't what people are arguing, but that's what you're saying they are arguing and it's not true.
Reducing spam would be stopping spam would it not...

Does a condom reduce the chance of pregnancy? How does it do that? It stops sperm from getting to the egg. It's so clear how knots has lost when you must resort to these kind of semantics. It's pathetic.
