It's like a VPN, you have to trust someone in the end.

So why don't you trust the Orion browser?

Search is different from software because every search is an API request that leaves your machine.

Whatever happened to 'Don't trust, verify' that used to be the rallying cry of open source/ privacy advocates.

It's a fundamental problem with search, they will always know what you're searching and you can't verify the nonexistence of knowledge. Stop trying to imply that I don't care about privacy you fucking tool

No it isn't. With a private browser you can use duckduckgo and even google without logging in. Kagi is the ONLY search engine I know of where you have to register and log in to use.

Paid search might just be too nasty a combo to justify, I get your point for sure.

What do you use for search? Duck duck go? Lol

I'd rather do a private (tor or vpn) not logged in search on google/duckgo than a non private registered search anywhere else.

Feel free to trust Kagi not to use your data or profile yoy, I see no reason why you would trust that more than duckduckgo.

Duck duck go isn't as private as people think, but it's probably the best in terms of privacy/anonymity.
