While I do get your point, it does kind of contradict the whole essence of religion. What else is a Christian to do but to oppose sin and rescue sinners (from themselves)? While people do have a tendency to grant themselves godlike powers and judge others, the opposite of absolute tolerance is not necessarily much better... In my opinion it always comes down to the use of force: you can and should try to convince people to abandon their sinful ways but you have no right to force your ideas upon them.
