Ooo, that's a good question.

I don't think there's many (~<5%) trying to make money. And you can always pick those people based on their engagement farming posts.

However, I think a lot (~30%) dream/hope of getting a little side income just naturally.

I do think most people love looking at their follower count regardless for that dopamine hit.

But your asking the wrong bear about human psychologically. ๐Ÿ˜†

Ok.... interesting sidenote is I recently read a scientific type book about dopamine and if my understanding is correct the idea of euphoria that we get when fulfilling our desire(like follower counts/likes) is not actually dopamine. It's another hormone/neuro tansmitter. The role of dopamine is more linked to an anticipation or desire. So there's more of a dopamine buzz, for example in waiting for the lottery numbers to show and not in when/ if you actually win.

I'm gonna enjoy the dopamine anticipation of being told that is total crap and I've misinterpreted the science๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜Ž
