Measured with Trifield and was surprised how high it was at:

- powerline adapter

- eth to type-C adapter close to hand very high (I remember 100-400V/m2) but can measure again

- cat6 lowest, but still more than I'd like (I'm looking for near zero)

Looking to troubleshoot this. My household transitioning from WiFi to Eth depends on this :D

Sorry I don't recommend PLC (Power Line Communication) for using Internet.

They inject data signals straight into your electrical wiring, which creates a lot of high-frequency noise.

I would recommend you ditch the Powerline adapter.

Go for direct Ethernet runs or MoCA (Ethernet over Coax) instead.

Grounded shielded Cat6 (STP) can help but only if both devices at each end are grounded. Those USB-C Ethernet adapters can leak fields near your hand, they’re unshielded and powered from the laptop’s DC lines.

Using a grounded docking station often helps.

Best setup for you would be ↓

Router → MoCA (or pure Ethernet) → Shielded Cat6 → Grounded metal-chassis laptop dock → Device

Definetly i havent gone near that. It can probably also degredate your eletrical cabling faster

That electrical noise destroys both computers & human biology alike. That's why you will see ferrite beads in cables.

There's even a whole field of science called EM compatibility that studies how to make electronic devices coexist without frying each other with interference.

But nothing for human life.
