Skipping over the feasibility of building a nuclear reactor on the moon, what do we do with the nuclear power once it’s generated?

Use it to build a base …

Talk about a moon shot.

Seems doable. You’ll need a small form factor reactor for sure. Something you can transport and assemble there.

Honestly, we should have had this already. The world dropped the ball after the Apollo missions and I’m glad it’s picking back up.

I guess I don’t understand why but I’m not up to date on the space race or exploration.

Technological advancement, resource extraction, experimentation, security, stepping stone to mars and beyond. You need the moon for all of those things.

Small Modular Reactors are coming. The 🇨🇦 province I was raised in is rich in uranium, they export 3B worth of enriched uranium per year. They plan to start implementing them to replace aging coal fired power plants.
