the biggest problem with israel attacking hezbollah by planting bombs in common domestic telecoms hardware is they have now planted the meme that anything, especially second hand, could be a bomb waiting to go off when 5 messages come at once

when i was a child, all the adults around me were mortally afraid that they would destroy computers if they pressed the wrong button on them, and i was curious so i pressed all the buttons, and very occasionally i broke them, and if i did, often i would then learn how to fix them

normies will not cope with this

everything in the pawn shop now is going to be suspect

the terror effect of this attack is going to be a lot bigger than people expect, and just wait to see the copycat attacks now after this, hooo eee

These bombs were planted, right? They didn't figure out a way to make normal pagers and other devices just explode (via the batteries or something), I hope.

Just like governments want a backdoor to the software on our devices I can see them wanting to have all devices rigged to explode now, just in case they need to take anyone out, for "national security" of course.

yeah but the thing is that there WILL be secondary market items that were switched off... and it was a flood of messages that triggers it

just gonna take a couple of incidents and the unintended effects will take hold

and like you say... it's just like the Harkonnen "heart plugs"... the slaves must slave or die
