I’d recommend committing only small amounts that you can handle having tied up if there’s an activation problem with one or more of the gift cards. I would recommend smaller denominations until Bitrefill demonstrates a track record of reliability to you. And know ahead of time what recourse you have with Bitrefill if you try to use a card and it comes back saying it’s not activated or fails at point of purchase. I would recommend doing a web search for ā€œbitrefill prepaid mastercard card not activatedā€ or ā€œbitcoin gift card activation issueā€ to get a sense of issues that others have run into before you decide to use the service. I’ve read some posts while researching my own wish to go this route, about non responsive or difficult to reach customer service from Bitrefill for these issues. And some problems in particular with prepaid Mastercards from Bitrefill when it comes time to actually trying to make a purchase with them. There are also many posts from people that love the service. Not to sow FUD, but better to learn from others’ experience before you drop a couple thousand dollars on cards imho. Caveat emptor. I haven’t taken the plunge with Bitrefill or Coincards yet. Just been stacking and using Lightning where I can for pocket change or fence post money. Curious to see what your experience is like.
