I hedge my bets based on past performance. We have seen these kinds of predictions for many alts over the years - "ETH will surpass Bitcoin, XRP will surpass Bitcoin, etc."

It never materializes because I believe it is a narrative driven by people who are ideologically motivated to sell an idea and they hope to profit from their specific alt. Influencers with large enough followings stand to profit because retail can assist in pumping their holding, and those who know what they are doing will dump on their followers while pretending that something will keep going up forever.

If the market moves higher, then everything largely goes up. If the market crashes, it all comes down together. It always has, and Bitcoin has always led the market. The only time that changes for brief periods is when Bitcoin dominance drops, and profits are rotated into alt coins by whales and institutions. It may change in the future, but we have no indication that this will happen so it's a hugely risky gamble that I would personally advise against.

I used to fall victim to this mindset, and it simply doesn't work in my experience. I don't shame people for doing so though, I'm just sharing my thoughts.

i agree. influencers are scams.

past performance is not an indicator for future performance

did you study EOHK and EMURGO?

cardano wants to become a global country. it can do any kind of smart contracts including decentralized souvereign identity. fees are very low. it can do everything a blockchain should do. bitcoin cannot do that. it cannot even be used as cash.

listen to the developer videos. it has a smart community and they are trying to achieve a goal instead of insulting and bullying other people.
