I am not a joker or troll, I tend to be very serious and most of my humor is ironic, absurd or self deprecating.

When I say I have lost my Bitcoin keys and am searching for them, I am almost wishing to throw myself off a cliff. But I probably can recover them, it's just going to take time.

How this came to happen is a long story but zfs is the main reason that I've got a problem, last error in a chain of small mistakes.

I totally did not make sure I had a backup.

Not a joke and please pray for me to find them again.

sorry to hear that man. I've tried to put a recurring memorization in place to never experience that but even saying that is easier than implementing it

I will be fine, I'm sure. The data is literally here, just either one or two copies buried in a haystack, probably 2, the backup is just most likely easier to find because I can probably recover the filesystem fully and see timestamps and be able to confidently dump out the right one

It's just uncertain until I have the keys back in my hand. I will be calm, I am exhausted.
