Try to stop it before it comes in, we try to have a list of things we are looking for.

I have used the sentence β€œwe wanted to get them -item-, but we could also use a -nondanger item-β€œ

If its inside all i can say is kids misplace toys all the time. Sometimes it ends up under beds in the garage ect

That's a good idea. Grandma got a very thoughtful gift of these wooden vegetables that pop into a wooden garden. But there are misspelled words on the box and I don't trust it to be lead free. My baby chews on everything.

After my second we had to toss the crib once he was out, i ended up sanding the paint off of it so he didn’t eat any more.

Same problem. My second loves the crib paint. Lol

Have you tried a lead test kit? I’ve used them on several items I wanted to be sure were lead free.

I was going to get one but learned from a chemist who worked in a lab, the at home kits aren't necessary accurate.
