Which country? Both have conscription.
Could be either side. There's great talent and good people on both sides.
Forcing them to kill each other is evil
I pray the war will end soon
This isn't a symmetrical situation. Good people who could have almost all left Russia already. Contributing to the Russian economy is fundamentally evil given the scale of the war. Russians have a moral duty to either leave, or make up for their presence with, e.g. sabotage.
I don't disagree. Was just curious, as they didn't say. My guess is Russia, but I have no idea.
Suffice to say if the dev was Russian, I'd saying so very loudly... I'll respect their wishes not to make it explicitly public. But I'm sure you can guess.
I know.
If I didn't pay my taxes I'd eventually get arrested. This is the wartime version of that. He refused to cooperate with conscription and unsurprisingly got arrested. Other people are risking their lives to keep him safe – the onus is on him to do his part too.
Probably best I don't say more details at this point. But in general, crypto tech people keep on getting themselves in trouble with this because they're selfish idiots.
Of course, if he were Russian it'd be an entirely opposite situation. All Russians have a moral ditu to evade their government, e.g. by leaving Russia, or sabotage. Paying Russian taxes and contributing to their economy is a deeply evil act.
