this will be unpopular and my views on the actions taken in Venezuela are mixed but thinking out loud

- I suspect that this move is about oil

- I suspect that it is also about mid terms, most latinos I've talked to today are celebrating the move and I think that will translate

- I don't like it when the US takes military action so freely

- I think US running Venezuela is a 100x improvement on the current government

- I think Venezuela is very different from the Middle East. If it's like Cuba, most people will support (Cubans would literally daydream about the US rescuing us)

- I was supportive and would be supportive of US intervention in Cuba

Anyway, not an expert, not even my people but right now the leading thought is i Hope this works out for the people of Venezuela, I know their pain.

It’s complicated. It is in my opinion more about China and Russia in the order and the extension of the Monroe doctrine. Read the current 27 page National Security Strategy, and Trump’s press conference confirms this. Anyone saying this is Iraq 2.0 is naive.

Humility is needed right now. Both sides (pro and against) are probably right. I just hope this works out well for the people of VZ. History of regime change is not on their side though

Understood, was genuinely curious about more good sources.

The people I referenced above are from my son's soccer team. They had a practice for a couple hours and parents were from all over South America and the Caribbean. Largely positive response.
