I haven’t had a car in almost 20 years. Which means I also have no fuel expense, no car payment, no car insurance bill, no vehicle maintenance & repair cost and no parking space rental fee. Vehicles are such bullshit. They immediately decrease in value the moment you “purchase” one. And yet somehow they are an indicator of wealth.

They are 100% necessary for anyone living in a rural area. Life depends on them quite literally sometimes. But the smart thing to do is to learn how to work on them & always buy used.

And life with multiple vehicles in a rural area is still a standard American fuckload cheaper than life in most cities... just saying 😜

Definitely - for life in rural areas they are a tool, and 100% necessary. I live in a city so I see folks driving fast cars in 1st gear down the street just to show off. What gets me is the people that buy off-road vehicles with huge tires that look like they just came out of a showroom.
