Proof that you don't need all the fancy grow lights and racks to start your seeds. These are started in reused plastic food containers.

We recently moved onto our homestead, which is 40 acres of raw land, absolutely no infrastructure beyond our outdoor shower that we just built. We live currently live in our truck camper, so I don't have space for grow lights and racks.

I've seen people give advice to others that either didn't have the money to buy the fancy racks or the space. I want to inspire other to think creatively when learning to grow their own food. Just start, even failure is still learning and growing your knowledge.

Partially, I mixed our native soil with compost and high quality potting soil for seed starting. We have fungal dominant desert soil, not the greatest for growing vegetables but compost, bio-char and worm casting will help add more bacteria, which we need to balance our soil.

Oh yeah it would have been amazing if it was our soil! Eventually our garden soil will look similar to this though!
