Briefly. The bitter truth is that Bitcoin isn't used. It's not widely accepted by merchants which leaves people needing to use third party apps like Bitrefill to spend. Not ideal. It's used more widely in Africa where people need to escape the main stream currency. As for me, I only buy non KYC btc. I still have some over the counter stuff but it is separate. There is an argument that if the btc cannot be proven to be KYC, it won't be accepted. I think this is over reaction
Its not over reaction Zaika, they builded a fiat CBDC system on top of bitcoin, is a matter of time to non kyc bitcoin becames useless and with no value.
And the biggest problem is the community alredy showed that they dont care, the number must need to go up the same.
Now the biggest crowd of bitcoin are people in favor of joining bitcoin with the state and "change" the state from within, if the addopt austrian economics.
This is so naive to do.
Its insane the ideas this guys have, nostr users are expceptions not the rule but even here you see that "the ones" choosed to close the eyes, and pretend nothing is happening.

AFAIK they trade at different prices which in both ways shows that there is a lack of fungibility and the surveillance objectives of the state to exploit non fungibility.
We legally could declare that all BTC are equal. But we are going the other direction, turning thebkittle miney that is left on this planet into (social) credit.
Ah yes I was also just reading about this. What the hell do we all do…?? balance my future risk between non-kyc, kyc and XMR. I don’t know what else to do really…
I guess it depends on your personal risk tolerance.
I am going all in on no KYC Bitcoin/XMR.
If I lose my fight it's because the world went down the drain and most of us have just a couple more months or years to live in the digital concentration camps. If we win and that will only happen if some of us risk it all, my family will remember my name a thousand years from now.
I am in this because I believe in freedom for all of us. Dying a "rich" man without a soul is not an option for me.

Keep in mind: I started 5 years ago to convert my environment so that with the exception of very few things I can live on Monero today. Working hard to make it 100%.
You likely need to do this before feeling safe enough to try leave the regulated (social) credit market behind you.
Step 1: Make all your friends and families own Bitcoin/Monero
Step 2: up their Opsec
Step 3: Help merchants setup their wallets, teach how to use giftcards
Step 4: With enough demand merchants have an incentive to learn for their own

I started 15 years ago and the first years we were evangelising so many merchants, restaurants and companies and it worked. It paved the way for Bitcoins later success.
But then many got lost in chasing fiat NGU while real adoption shrank, thinking we already won when in reality we sat ourselves back 10 years.

Sometimes I've doubt my decisions to go all-in on noKYC and monero and coinjoin every sat I have, also the KYCed ones from the beginning of my journey (now only noKYC). But messages like yours restoring my confidence that it's the right way.

I had the exact same realization some time ago: either we all live as full-on slave, we get all wiped by nuclear wars, or btc wins and we get to a new prosperous world.
So might as well bet it all on btc, if either of the other 2 scenarios play out I’ll either be dead or I’ll kill myslef rather than live as full on slave.
