People depend on wages to buy food, shelter, and water. Walmart does not pay enough wages for its workers to achieve this. The State has to step in with social programs to subsidize the exploitation of capitalism.

They don't have to. They are choosing to. There are alternatives. But what is the motivation for Walmart to do anything different? The state is subsidizing their employees for nothing. That's a sweet deal. Minimum wage is over $15. We have exactly what the socialists asked for.
You just made my points for me. What do “socialists” want? Have you read up on socialism?
No, you made mine actually. And that's the thing about socialists they don't see the disconnect between the outcomes they want and the outcomes they actually get.
Socialism is just a parasite that uses capitalism as a host. It can't stand on its own and we're all better off without it.
It's all empty promises of free stuff that winds up costing more than just buying it outright.
I’m not a socialist. But let’s back up so we can maybe use logic and reason going forward. When, in your opinion has “true” capitalism ever exited?
Nobody said anything about free stuff.
According to Adam Smith, capitalism can and will evolve into the “parasite”.
But again, you tell me what capitalism is and when it has actually functioned uninterrupted.
Capitalism is just an economic system characterized by free markets, private property and guided by self interest. It succeeds all the time. Whether that's uninterrupted is subjective. But it's socialism that's failing.
Wrong, capitalism has nothing to do with free markets. Capitalism cannot exist in a “free market”.
No, you probably can’t tell me one company or a time period where capitalism was successful.
No, it’s not subjective.
If you are referring to United States as socialism failing, that is also incorrect. US does not operate under socialism.
Yah we have different definitions of what capitalism is. What is your definition?
Capitalism according to Adam Smith is a system of economics where the core tenets are:
Private Property
Self interests
Limited government interference/regulation
This is according to Adam Smiths ideas.
Yah so when I said free markets, that's limited interference.
Oh, well “free markets” and “limited interference/regulation are two totally different things.
I don't think they are.
Why is it that I answer every question you ask me but you don’t answer my questions?
Which questions haven't I addressed?
What do socialists want? Have you read pro socialist material?
Generally what they want is control of the market. Everything else stems from that. I have read quite a bit yes
Socialism wants ownership of the means of production and resources to be owned by everyone, not corporations like Walmart.
It also believes in community and everyone working together so that no one goes without and no one exploits.
If you don't think the US operates at least partially under socialism you're buying into leftist propaganda.
You already admitted that Walmart takes advantage of social programs by getting free labor AND you defended them. Are you saying Walmart is not a capitalist company?
Walmart takes advantage of both socialism and capitalism. You can take it as defending them if you want, but my position is they're free to do that. I think that's just defending freedom.
Good, we found common ground. I agree. Now, historically speaking, if you are driven by “profits” you will ALWAYS seek more profits by any means necessary. So, capitalism will exploit ANYTHING for profit. My argument is, there is OBVIOUSLY a better way and capitalism IS unsustainable.
Well that's why anarchy doesn't work. Capitalism isn't unsustainable. Corporatism is.
I wasn’t asking you if capitalism was unsustainable, I was telling you it is mathematically unsustainable.
What is corporatism to you?
Well I don't care that you're telling me anything. I don't accept your claim. As far as corporatism, it's basically a fascist concept of combined cronyism and taking advantage of market manipulation and working in collaboration with the state to create monopolies.
It’s not a claim, it’s math.
Thanks for the definition.
Now, let’s go back to where you said “Why would Walmart not take advantage of subsidized labor?”
With logic, reason, and your own statement let me ask you a very important question. Why would capitalism, a system that functions on self interests ever limit itself to not use the government to grow its profits? I know you call it corporatism or crony capitalism when that happens BUT that’s what capitalism evolves to…according to your very own statements. Why would it not take advantage of any and all avenues?
#capitalism #bitcoin
You didn't actually provide any math... You made an unsubstantiated claim lol

Math for you:
Capitalism is profit driven.
Resources are finite.
Everyone is competing for resources to acquire as much profit as possible.
Whoever has the most capital controls the resources.
Game over.
Ever played Monopoly?
I’m sincerely trying to discuss this in good faith with you but I’m starting to think that there may be a pretty big age gap between us which also means experience.
