Never understood the 'Nostr is destined to follow Bitcoin's trajectory' argument. Nostr is not built on Bitcoin. What's the connection? Simply that there are Bitcoin people here?

I’m not technical but what I mean is that’s it’s private and introduces people to BTC via LN and zaps.. in South Africa everyone has a mobile phone so getting them on here and sending them sats and explaining BTC.. not much easier way..
It isn't private, it's social media, which is mostly public.

well my little bit of education of the people whom I come into contact with - I educate them on fiat debasement and then I sent them sats via primal which they can spend at the national supermarket - the job that I work I introduced education sessions and sats for attending - every single person who has come and received sats has saved them and stacked the little they can - Primal (NOSTR) is the tool in which the use to send and receive... I also pay for my coffee at gym with SATS and also service providers like DRs and others.. what I meant in terms of privacy is that you can be anon..
You can be "anon" on almost all social media platforms.
Primal is not a bitcoin wallet, it is like a (illegal) bank account, so make sure to teach them that part too, because the balance could disappear one day.

Primal is required to obtain specific licenses and conduct AML processes to provide custodial accounts and payment processing.
I do not know if any way to frame it as legal. Maybe SA doesnt care about this, but it still means that a kyc rug pull, or shutdown of service, is inevitable.
fair enough.. ill keep an eye out but until then - it is a cool way to introduce people into BTC. Lightning in South Africa is huge.. you can live on BTC easily in here in a very under the radar way which is great..
