Easy man. I don't enjoy conversations without nuance or thoughtful analysis of tradeoffs, that is why I didn't continue talking. "Apple is an enemy of freedom tech" is not an argument in the context of what was being discussed.
I said Apple made a good design decision (who knows, probably back in the '80s) about choosing Command as a modifier key. If you answer with "Apple enemy of freedom tech" is like, yeah bro sure, but it has nothing to do with the conversation.
As for hardware. There are really no foss hardware/firmware options on which to install a foss OS. Given the choices in the market, I am picking one which I feel is the best overall tradeoff between privacy and performance. Pretty much everybody is running Apple, Intel, or Google hardware. As a matter of fact GrapheneOS only runs on Google hardware, is that bad because Google is an enemy of freedom tech?
