Last week I setup an Albyhub account connected to my lighting node running on my start9 server. I loved how easy it is to open channels and get inbound liquidity.

We had a 4 hour power outage yesterday that knocked my server offline. I really appreciate that Alby sent me an email to let me know there was a problem and that I needed to log back into my hub account to get it fully working again

Thanks nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm for making such a great service!

Are you connecting to albly hub over tor though? I haven't yet done this because I don't really like the forced tor interactions from start9.

Tor is great don't get me wrong, but I don't want it all the time.

I’m not actually sure to be honest. I followed the Alby guide to load it onto start9 and it all just worked. Albyhub connects to your getalby account through NWC. So I can make lightning payments from any web browser through that.

I maybe missing something but it’s been working great so far

Huh why would they know about the status of your own alby hub instance? Seems wrong.

Right now you connect it with the Alby account for notifications like this, channel recommendations, etc.

in one of the future versions this will be optional and users have full control over these features.

Ok clear
