Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything -Plato I love mixing and making music!

So the songs are done? Do you still need album art? What’s stopping you from uploading the songs today?

Where in the process is your music at? Are you still writing? Have you recorded demos or fully produced tracks? Do you need that final mix/mastering to get that finished polish? Where is your bottleneck?

I have been procrastinating for far too long but today I made some small progress in my studio build. I pulled down the 2x4 frame wall and replaced the base boards with pressure treated lumber. The wall is back up and it is nailed to the concrete floor.

Next step is to run electrical to the wall.

I was able to build a run habit with interval training. It’s important to start very slow and build consistency. I would suggest starting with something like jog for 1 min then walk for 4 min, repeat 4 times for a 20 min workout. Do that for 3 days in your first week. Second week, add another round for a 25 min workout. Third week, add another for a 30 min run.

From there every week you make small adjustments like run for 2 min then walk for 3. There are a bunch of apps out there that can give you a training program to follow and give you guidance when to walk and when to run.

I think it only took me about a month of consistent training to start to really crave that next run.

I often find myself trapped in overthinking it. I print every mix revision in the daw so that it is easy to go back and listen to where I started.

I also find it helps to take breaks often. When I come back after a break and will listen to the whole song from start to finish and make notes. I will then only work on those notes. Take a break, come back and repeat.

I did the update but I’m having trouble logging back in with my nsec. It recognizes my npub but when I hit save it brings me back to the login page to start over

Good morning, #nostriches!

I'm at work (making up for taking Monday off) and finally getting to use the new jig that one of the engineers made for making these arm rest parts. It's pretty good, but there are some teething pains. The worst of it is the scuffing of the tube badly enough that I have to polish the scuffs out. This is backwards and I'll have to consult with the engineer on Monday or whenever he can get back over here. Aside from that, it works really well. It is definitely faster since I can get the tube clamped in and aligned very easily and drop the filler plate in and weld it in one process. The bracket part of the jig also needs some work as they don't fit correctly, but that's already being redesigned based on my feedback.

Anyway, I hope you have a great day. I'm looking forward to getting home to check on my solar (power) system (if I was making my own solar system Pluto would never not have been a planet, you monsters!) since I made a few changes to what hardware I'm using and tweaking the settings in an attempt to optimize the current setup for self-sustained mining over a whole day without needing much, if any, input from an external power source. There's no good pics for that, so, pardon the bunch of text about something that you might have no clue about. I'm just excited on a very nerdly way over continual, iterative improvement. 😁

Is it the sort of thing where you can add padding like a piece of leather or is the jig too tight and there is no room for a pad?

Here is the second release from my old band, Out on the Streets. These songs were originally recorded and mixed by a great producer, Casey Bates, over 14 years ago. I still have all the original ProTools sessions so I have been going through them and doing my own mix to showcase my abilities and attract future clients.

This song is about a messy breakup

Marking my calendar for Friday, can’t wait to hear it.
