I mixed a really nice track today! Got to use some new plugins (free to use) for metering.
I primarily use Logic to mix with stock logic plugins for metering, but the stereo tool from Flux is really great! It lets you create a preset with custom settings that you can then compare back and forth with. Really nice!
Span from Voxengo is a must have as well. Customizable metering is essential to your workflow.
If you want to check out the completed track, as well as other projects I have worked on, go to my online portfolio wix page at

Reach out for all your audio needs!

I go back and forth about how import metering is for my workflow. I use the plugin called Decibel from puremix. It’s super customizable and you can have it displayed on your phone or your tablet or even in multiple places. I like how it frees up realestate on your computer screen.
It’s going to be one of “those” kinds of nights.

Before mixing boards had automation it was common to get members of the band to help ride the faders for the final mix down.
Are you riding the faders while it’s bouncing? It is so much more fun when you treat it like a dance/performance.

I just got back the next Out On The Streets song from my mastering engineer and it sounds amazing. This is the first time I have worked with him and it has been great. He worked with me to adjust a few things in the premaster( I needed to lay off my master buss compressor) and then he slammed it through his tape machine.
I have worked with a few mastering engineers over the years and this is the first time I have been instantly blow away with the results. If you are looking for a mastering engineer, I highly recommend checking out whiteseastudios.com
Be on the lookout on nostr:npub1yfg0d955c2jrj2080ew7pa4xrtj7x7s7umt28wh0zurwmxgpyj9shwv6vg for the second Out On The Streets song, Effigies. I will be posting it sometime in the next few days.
Does El Salvador need a new IMF supported program? Are THEY talking about a program or is the IMF imposing?
I think I would prefer a beer version of this
This would be so cool to have in my studio

Learning to hear comprehension is difficult. I have an SSL style bus compressor that I built as a diy kit. I have been meaning to try WesAudio, I really want to try the Rhea for that tube style compression.
A day at the ballpark with my son and some friends

Waiting to see Pearl Jam
I’m excited to meet some Nostr people in real life. Who else is coming?

I have two young children. My wife and I have been reading, “The Anxious Generation “. The book makes a compelling case that kids under 16 are actively being harmed by using smartphones and social media.
I think Nostr makes this better since there is not a company farming engagement, but the core of the problem comes from kids being on their devices more than interacting with other kids in real life.
I wonder if trying to setup safe places for kids on the internet is missing the point. We should be keeping them in the real world for as long as possible, especially while their brains are still developing.
