Analog mixing and bounce down on a 4 track is stressful. There's no undo. You have to get things in a complete take.
But wow, is it fun and completely engaging.
Are you riding the faders while it’s bouncing? It is so much more fun when you treat it like a dance/performance.

Woah, what a way to think about it! Yeah, it's truly another instrument.
Before mixing boards had automation it was common to get members of the band to help ride the faders for the final mix down.
Oh cool, what a fun way to end the mix. It's not done until that final bounce down!
