I'm sad that we used to have Plebstr, FreeFrom, Nostrmo, Nozzle, Camelus for Android, but now there is only what? Amethyst, Yana and Primal?

Interestingly, Camelus and Nostrmo still have commits happening recently. I wonder where are the developers and what are their plans.
I just installed Nostrmo and I am amazed by how good it is.

That's the thing. I don't use NOSTR & graphene os and then install something from Google Play...

True, but the average Joe won't install that way.

Yes but obtanium is play store. I can also install sandboxed play store on graphene.

Obtainium is on GitHub and on the F-Droid
It's an "app store" where you "search" for repos of open source projects you want, and it monitors, grabs, and installs the apk's they bundle into releases for those repo.
Tradeoff: there's no vetting of bad software, it's all on you
Benefit: there's no censorship; it's all on you

Kinda doubt it. The dev team behind Plebstr is/was Czech. These guys say they are based in Delaware USA.
If you scroll down https://plebstr.com, you’ll see a section on that Czech team. Many foreign companies incorporate in DE, USA
Nostrmo was such a great name
Due to common parreto distribution effects things will partly centralize. But the nostr benefit is that no matter how large a single client becomes, it doesn't lock anyone into that client. As something like facebook does. Renewed decentralization is always a possibility here!
btw. It's worthy to note that the head Amethyst developer nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z has been a great champion for people to use as many nostr clients as possible. I like how he pushed for promoting that concept of individual multi use of clients. It such a great idea :)
Nozzle is still up and running, last update was two weeks ago
I am on plebstr rn and was kinda wondering what happened. Last I remember the devs were promising something great soon (that was august "23 I think) and haven't heard from them since.
