It's going to enable some really efficient querying/sync'ing of messages and sounds like a useful paradigm for clients as well as relays.

Interesting set reconcillation. Nice logo too (explains it visually). This might become relevant for gossip at some point.
After getting things working with LMDB, the data layout will look more like a relay's, at which point it starts making sense to ask whether parts of my client shouldn't query my local data using the same method that it queries remote relays. If I get that far, I will also split out that code and make my "personal relay" project with it.
It is also still highly likely that none of that will happen, that the local data will be too different from relay data, or that it is not worth querying local data using nostr. It remains to be seen.
For now I'm focused on just getting that branch working.
